Luego del estreno del Snyder Cut de Justice League, el director estadounidense Zack Snyder vuelve a sus orígenes y el día de hoy presenta el tráiler de su nueva película para Netflix, Army of the Dead, cuya trama combina a los zombis con los robos a gran escala.
El tráiler inicia con Scott Ward, un héroe de la guerra contra los zombis, interpretado por Dave Bautista, quien trabaja en un restaurante de un pueblo pequeño antes de que lo contraten para llevar a cabo un robo masivo. La historia girará en torno a este grupo de mercenarios, quienes deberán realizar un atraco de $200 millones de dólares a una bóveda subterránea en Las Vegas. ¿El problema? La ciudad está aislada del resto del mundo y completamente invadida por zombis.
La cinta representa el regreso de Snyder al género del terror, pues antes de ser conocido por el universo fílmico de DC Comics o 300, el director estuvo a cargo de la cinta Dawn of the Dead. Su regreso al género, más específico a los zombis, vuelve de la mano de Netflix, quienes financiaron este proyecto, el que fue pensado originalmente en 2007.
En la cinta, Zack Snyder funge como director, además se hará cargo del guion junto a Shay Hatten. Su estreno se espera para el próximo 21 de mayo.
